Black Tot Master Blender's Reserve 2024 Aged Caribbean Rum is a limited edition, high-proof dark rum (54.5% ABV) meticulously crafted in the United Kingdom. This expression is a tribute to naval rum tradition, featuring a complex blend of rums aged in American and European oak. Notably, it contains a small portion of the original British Royal Navy rum, which ceased production in 1970, offering a genuine taste of maritime history.
With no added sugar, the rum's true character shines through. It delivers a rich, buttery mouthfeel, featuring initial sweetness from Manuka honey balanced by the tartness of dried mango. Mid-palate flavors evolve to licorice root and raw cacao nibs, culminating in a long, warming finish with lingering notes of lime leaf and oak spice. This makes it an exceptionally complex spirit perfect for the discerning rum enthusiast.
