Bollinger R.D. 2008 is an exceptional Champagne, representing the House of Bollinger's vision of a recently disgorged vintage. This extraordinary Brut is a blend of 71% Pinot Noir (primarily from A?? and Verzenay) and 29% Chardonnay (mainly from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant), with 84% of the fruit sourced from Grand Cru vineyards. Only the first pressing (cuv??e) is used, and the wine undergoes extended aging on the lees, resulting in remarkable depth and complexity upon disgorgement. The palate is vivacious, revealing a sophisticated profile of Mirabelle plums, vine peaches, and fresh hazelnut. A hallmark racy streak of salinity drives an extremely long, mouthwatering finish, showcasing the wine???s powerful structure and profound elegance. This vintage is celebrated for its incredible aging potential.
