Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash Whiskey is a unique expression—an unaged spirit drawn directly from the stills before being matured in oak barrels. This "new make" spirit offers a clear, bold glimpse into the essential character of Buffalo Trace's famous Mash Bill #1, which forms the basis for legendary bourbons like Eagle Rare and its namesake, Buffalo Trace Bourbon. Bottled at a high proof, this spirit is intensely flavored, showcasing the raw notes of sweet corn, cereal grain, and a surprising fruity sweetness. It is a must-try for enthusiasts who want to understand the foundational elements of bourbon creation, offering a rare opportunity to taste the future of a great whiskey before it ever meets the barrel.
