Caffo Vecchio Amaro del Capo is a distinguished Italian herbal liqueur, or amaro, meticulously crafted in Calabria using an ancient family recipe. The spirit is infused with 29 local herbs, roots, fruits, and flowers, many of which are characteristic of the region, including bitter and sweet oranges, licorice, mandarin, juniper, and chamomile. Its complex flavor profile is distinctly balanced, leaning toward the minty and herbaceous side of the amaro spectrum, with rich notes of spice and citrus.
Traditionally, this liqueur is consumed perfectly chilled—at a temperature of -20°C—to fully enhance the extraction of the herbal essences and achieve its signature smooth, velvety texture. This practice makes it an ideal digestivo after a fine meal.
