Caroni Replica 90 Proof Rum is a faithful tribute to the legendary, now-closed Trinidadian distillery, renowned for its heavy, complex, and intensely flavorful rums. This replica captures the signature "heavy" profile that made Caroni iconic, characterized by its distinctive notes of industrial, tar-like funk, rubber, and oily texture. Bottled at a robust 90 proof, this expression offers an approachable yet authentic glimpse into the distillery’s unique, high-ester style. It delivers a formidable complexity on the palate, combining diesel and savory notes with underlying hints of tropical fruit, molasses, and aged oak. This is a must-try for serious rum enthusiasts who seek a historical and powerful spirit experience, best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to fully appreciate its depth.
