Cascahuin Añejo Tequila is a sophisticated expression from Los Valles, Jalisco, aged for 14 to 16 months in used American oak barrels. These barrels, previously seasoned for over 20 years, impart a natural amber color and a silky-smooth profile.
Distilled from 100% Blue Weber agave that is slow-cooked in traditional stone/brick ovens, this Añejo retains the sweet, cooked agave flavor at its heart. On the nose, look for complex aromas of raisins, almond, peach, and golden peanut. The flavor is defined by the natural influence of the American oak, delivering a velvety texture and sweet cooked agave with a lingering, silky finish. Bottled at 80 proof, this Añejo is perfect for sipping neat to fully appreciate its depth and complexity, or as a sophisticated base for classic tequila cocktails.
