Château Penin Tradition Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge is a prime example of accessible, high-quality Bordeaux, predominantly crafted from Merlot with a complement of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Hailing from the right bank region of the Bordeaux appellation, it benefits from clay-limestone soils, which lend the wine structure and richness. This vintage is matured primarily in tank to preserve the fresh, fruit-forward expression, while a small portion sees oak for complexity. It presents an intense ruby color and a complex bouquet of ripe red and black fruits, such as cherry and plum, interwoven with subtle notes of spice and earth. The palate is well-balanced, offering smooth tannins and a lingering, elegant finish, making it enjoyable in its youth while maintaining potential for short-term aging.
