Cihuatan Sahumerio Rum is a distinguished Salvadoran aged rum, crafted to honor the Mayan tradition of "Sahumerio," an incense-burning ritual. This limited-edition expression is aged for a minimum of 12 years in ex-Bourbon barrels, followed by a special finish in casks that once held copal incense, imparting a truly unique and complex aromatic profile. The palate reveals an intriguing blend of tropical notes, including dried pineapple and banana, perfectly balanced by savory hints of roasted wood, cinnamon, and a subtle earthiness. Bottled at 45% ABV, its full-bodied texture and enduring, smoky finish make it an exceptional sipping rum, best enjoyed neat to appreciate its depth and cultural homage.
