Clément XO Rhum is a masterful blend of the distillery's oldest and finest aged Rhums Agricoles, meticulously matured in a combination of new American oak barrels and re-charred bourbon casks. Hailing from Martinique, this XO (Extra Old) expression represents the pinnacle of the island's AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) standards, which mandate distillation directly from fresh, fermented sugarcane juice rather than molasses. This process imparts the spirit's signature vibrant, earthy character.
The result is a complex, profound spirit with a deep amber hue. The palate is rich with flavors of dried tropical fruit, baking spices, toasted vanilla, and a long, warm finish accented by hints of cigar box and honeyed wood.
