Compass Box Delos is a limited-edition blended malt Scotch whisky, crafted as a tribute to the legendary Peat Monster, but focused on showcasing ethereal, aged smoke. This expression is a meticulous blend of aged whiskies, including those from the Caol Ila and Laphroaig distilleries, alongside older single malts from Clynelish and possibly a Speyside malt aged in French oak.
The maturation profile results in a complex spirit where gentle, oily peat smoke is beautifully integrated with coastal salinity, waxy fruit, and profound sweetness. On the palate, expect layers of ripe apple, honeyed vanilla, and a lingering, sophisticated wood smoke.
