Derrumbes Tamaulipas Mezcal is a unique and expressive spirit hailing from the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, an often-overlooked mezcal-producing region. Produced using traditional methods, including baking the agave hearts in earthen ovens and crushing them with a tahona, this Joven/Blanco mezcal offers a distinct, high-quality profile. The palate is characterized by a balance of sweet, dry, and lively notes, featuring green herbs, sweet agave, and vibrant fruit like lemon and apple. Bottled at 46.7% ABV, it retains the full character developed during production. Its complexity makes it superb for sipping neat, allowing the subtle regional nuances of the agave to shine through, or as the foundation for an elevated cocktail.
