Barrel aged for eighteen months in American white-oak barrels, Don Julio Añejo Tequila is a complex and highly crafted expression of aged tequila. This meticulous maturation process results in a spirit that strikes a superb balance between rich wood influence and the signature notes of cooked agave. On the nose, expect a fresh blend of lime, grapefruit, and mandarin citrus aromas, beautifully complemented by a touch of rich caramel. The palate is full-bodied and wonderfully complex, featuring expressions of wild honey and oak-infused butterscotch. It culminates in a bright and lightly spiced finish. This distinctive tequila is best savored neat in a snifter to appreciate its depth, or enjoyed simply on the rocks.
