Don Q Double Wood Vermouth Cask Finish Rum is an exceptional and limited-release spirit that showcases the innovation of Destilería Serrallés in Puerto Rico. This unique expression is first aged in American oak barrels, imparting classic notes of vanilla and caramel. It is then finished in casks previously used to age Italian sweet vermouth.
This dual-cask maturation creates a complex profile, layering the traditional rich rum flavors with herbaceous, spicy, and subtly bitter notes drawn from the vermouth-seasoned wood. Expect aromas of dark fruit, cocoa, and baking spice, leading to a velvety palate with hints of cherry, dried orange peel, and clove. Bottled to deliver depth without overpowering, this rum is ideal for sipping neat to appreciate its distinct character or for crafting highly sophisticated cocktails like a Rum Manhattan.
