Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey marks a historic return to distilling in the Western province of Connacht. This expression is crafted from a complex mash bill that includes malted and un-malted Irish barley, along with Irish Barra oats, which impart a distinctive elegant creaminess.
The whiskey is non-chill filtered and aged in a glorious marriage of Kentucky Bourbon and Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. This dual maturation delivers an exceptionally smooth, rich, and balanced profile. Tasting notes feature aromatic warm pot spice, vanilla honey, and sweet dried fruit, with deeper notes of dark chocolate, almond, and toasted oak. The finish is elegant and complex, with a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel, reflecting its premium quality and traditional distillation methods.
