English Harbour Port Cask Finish Rum is a distinguished, limited-edition expression from the Antigua Distillery. Initially aged for a minimum of five years in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels, this rum receives a masterful secondary maturation in Port wine casks. This finishing process imparts a remarkable depth and complexity to the already smooth spirit.
The result is a rich, amber-hued rum with an inviting aroma of dark fruits, toasted nuts, and sweet caramel. On the palate, expect a luxurious balance of dried cherry, plum, and subtle chocolate, underpinned by the classic English Harbour warmth and spice. Bottled at a higher proof to maintain intensity, this rum is ideal for sipping neat to fully appreciate the interaction between the oak and the fortified wine finish.
