After distillation, this rum is matured for a substantial period in oak barrels under the tropical climate, a process that dramatically accelerates aging and concentrates its flavor profile. The result is a deep mahogany hue and a complex palate. Expect rich notes of dried fruit, warm spices like nutmeg and cinnamon, dark caramel, and a hint of smoky oak. It boasts an exceptionally smooth, lengthy finish.
