Glendalough Single Grain Madeira Cask Finish Whiskey is a distinct expression that highlights the influence of its unique finishing process. This single grain Irish whiskey is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in Canteiro-aged Madeira casks sourced from off the coast of Africa. The casks, which previously held fortified Madeira wine, impart intense aromas and flavors due to the heat and tropical climate of their origin. This results in a complex profile featuring rich sultanas, exotic fruit notes like mango and pineapple, and a bright hint of orange zest and marmalade. Bottled at 42% Vol., the whiskey is light, lively, and award-winning, offering exceptional depth and a sophisticated sweetness for sipping neat or with a cube of ice.
