Hacienda de Chihuahua Plata Sotol is a premium, unaged spirit distilled from the wild-harvested desert spoon plant (Dasylirion wheeleri) in Chihuahua, Mexico. Unlike tequila or mezcal, sotol production follows strict appellation laws, ensuring its authentic regional character. This "Plata" or silver expression is double-distilled in a stainless steel pot still, resulting in exceptional clarity and purity. The nose reveals bright, earthy notes of pine, mint, and wet stone, distinct from agave spirits. On the palate, it delivers a complex, smooth flavor featuring balanced minerality, subtle pepper, and fresh herbal undertones.
