Herradura Reposado Tequila is a pioneering expression that set the standard for the category, being the first reposado tequila introduced commercially. It is crafted at Hacienda San Jos?? del Refugio using 100% blue agave that is slow-cooked in traditional clay ovens and naturally fermented. After distillation, it is aged for eleven months???longer than the industry standard???in American white oak barrels. This extended rest gives the tequila its deep amber color and complex, smooth character. The palate offers rich notes of cooked agave, vanilla, butter, and dried fruit, culminating in a warm, spicy finish. Its balance and depth make it exceptional for sipping neat or as the foundation for an elevated tequila cocktail, such as a traditional Old Fashioned.
