Hailing from the remote Orkney Islands, this single malt is celebrated for its spicy and well-rounded character. It is matured predominantly in European and American oak seasoned with sherry, which imparts layers of complexity.
Expect an aromatic balance of heather honey, citrus zest, and a subtle smokiness from Orkney’s unique peat, which contains rich, aromatic heather. The palate is smooth and full, revealing notes of winter spices, dark fruit cake, and a distinct sweet maritime salinity. The finish is long and warming, culminating in a gentle, persistent peat smoke.
