Jean-Luc Colombo Cornas Les Terres Brûlées is a powerful and iconic Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley, translating to "Burnt Lands," a nod to the region’s sun-drenched, granite-rich slopes. Produced by renowned winemaker Jean-Luc Colombo, this wine is a benchmark for the Cornas appellation, offering a deep expression of its unique terroir.
The wine exhibits an inky, dark color and a complex bouquet of crushed black pepper, violet, smoked meat, and intense black fruit like cassis and blackberry. Matured in French oak, it possesses a firm structure and robust tannins that promise excellent aging potential. On the palate, it delivers concentrated layers of dark cherry, garrigue, and a signature mineral streak. This full-bodied Syrah pairs exceptionally well with rich dishes, such as grilled lamb, venison, and slow-cooked stews.
