Joseph Drouhin Clos De Vougeot Grand Cru 2017 is a magnificent red Burgundy from a mythical vineyard in the Côte de Nuits, crafted from 100% Pinot Noir. Drouhin owns two parcels on a mild incline, contributing to the wine's sublime structure. The 2017 vintage is noted for being balanced, with delightful, blended tannins and gorgeous concentration, making it approachable even when young. Aged in oak barrels (30% new), this wine offers intense aromas of raspberry and wild cherry. On the palate, it is plush and long, delivering a very striking array of juicy, rich, and sweet cherries, finishing with silky tannins. This complex wine is a revelation and has an aging potential of up to 30 years.
