Kardos Dry Furmint is an exceptional expression of Hungary's indigenous Furmint grape, primarily sourced from the volcanic soils of the Tokaj region. While Tokaj is globally famous for its sweet, botrytized wines, this dry version showcases the grape's incredible versatility and structure.
The wine is characterized by vibrant acidity, minerality, and a complex aromatic profile. Expect notes of tart green apple, quince, lemon zest, and wet stone, often developing savory, smoky undertones as it ages. Typically aged in Hungarian oak, this process imparts subtle spice without masking the grape's natural intensity.
