Klein Constantia Vin de Constance 2018 is a historically revered sweet wine from the Cape Town appellation, meticulously crafted from Muscat de Frontignan grapes harvested in 21 different batches to capture varying levels of maturity and acidity.
The 2018 vintage was aged for three years in a combination of 50% new French oak, acacia barrels, and large format foudres, resulting in remarkable depth and complexity. It is known for its bright yellow-gold color and a highly expressive nose layered with complex notes of Seville marmalade, ginger spice, and grapefruit. The palate is rich and full-bodied, offering a luxurious, satin-like mouthfeel with intense flavors of wild honey, pear, white peach, and a delicate smokiness, all perfectly balanced by its vibrant acidity and a hint of salinity. This magnificent wine is concentrated, lively, and truly enduring.
