Koch El Ensamble Mezcal is a superb expression of Oaxacan tradition, handcrafted using a blend of different agave species, typically Espadín, Tobalá, and Tobasiche. This "Ensamble" approach lends the spirit remarkable complexity and depth. Produced by the Koch family, who adhere to ancestral methods, the agave hearts are roasted in earthen pits before being crushed by a stone tahona and twice-distilled in copper pot stills. This rigorous process results in a balanced mezcal with a signature smoky profile that beautifully intertwines with notes of cooked agave, tropical fruit, and a subtle herbaceous earthiness. Bottled at a compelling proof, it offers a sophisticated tasting experience that is both authentic and incredibly smooth.
