Lot 40 Dark Oak is a bold and intense Canadian rye whisky that amplifies the core characteristics of the original Lot 40. This expression is crafted from 100% rye and distilled in a traditional pot still, a method that captures a full-bodied spirit.
After initial aging in new American oak, Dark Oak undergoes a significant finishing period in a second, heavily charred new oak barrel (Char No. 4). This double oak maturation intensifies the wood interaction, adding depth, complexity, and a darker color. Bottled at a robust 48% ABV, the profile delivers a powerful wave of spice and rich, dried fruit notes, culminating in a long, memorable finish.
