Mandrarossa Serapias Passito di Pantelleria is an exquisite expression of Italian winemaking, a golden nectar crafted from Zibibbo grapes (Muscat of Alexandria) grown on the volcanic island of Pantelleria, south of Sicily. These grapes are meticulously hand-harvested and sun-dried on mats, a traditional process that concentrates their sugars and aromas before fermentation. This Passito (straw wine) showcases an intense amber color and a complex bouquet of dried apricot, fig, honey, and candied citrus peel, underpinned by a refreshing minerality unique to its terroir. On the palate, it is lusciously sweet yet beautifully balanced by a crisp acidity, leading to an extremely long and satisfying finish. Serapias is typically enjoyed as a meditation wine or paired with sharp cheeses, pâté, or traditional Sicilian desserts.
