Martell VSOP Aged In Red Barrels Cognac is a refined expression of Fine Champagne, embodying the brand’s signature style of elegance and complexity. The "red barrels" refer to fine-grained oak casks that are over two years old and have had previous aging use, which allows the spirit to develop smooth, delicate, and complex aromatic notes without being overpowered by fresh wood.
This meticulous aging process results in a Cognac with a warm, copper color and an incredibly smooth texture. On the nose, expect subtle notes of yellow stone fruits like apricot and peach, intertwined with hints of wood spice. The palate is well-balanced, delivering a mellow character with dried fruit and subtle almond notes, culminating in a long, elegant finish.
