Unlike many mass-produced versions, this spirit uses a much higher concentration of hand-picked, fully ripened sloe berries, which are allowed to macerate in the celebrated Monkey 47 Distiller's Cut gin. Bottled at a robust 29% ABV, it retains a remarkable depth and structure. The result is a beautifully balanced liqueur, showcasing a profile that balances the tart, jammy sweetness of the sloe berries with the gin's signature complexity, which includes notes of pine, citrus, and a subtle spice.
