Monte Alban Mezcal is a respected Oaxacan spirit crafted from 100% Espadín agave, offering a traditional, deeply smoky expression of Mexico's original distilled spirit. Produced using time-honored methods, the agave piñas are slow-roasted in underground pits with volcanic rocks and wood, imparting the signature smoky character that defines quality mezcal. Following crushing and fermentation, it is double-distilled in copper pot stills.
This "no worm" bottling emphasizes the pure, unadulterated flavor of the agave and smoke. It presents a robust profile featuring complex layers of herbal spice, dried fruit, and a mineral-earthiness, culminating in a smooth, warming finish. Monte Alban is ideal for sipping neat to appreciate its distinct terroir, or as the powerful, smoky base in high-end cocktails like a Mezcal Old Fashioned or a classic smoky Margarita.
