Nucano Tepextate Joven Mezcal is a rare and highly sought-after expression made from 100% wild Tepextate agave (Agave marmorata), which takes up to 25 years to mature. This complex maturation period contributes to its uniquely intense and vibrant flavor profile.
Crafted traditionally in Oaxaca, the agave pinas are roasted in underground pits, crushed by a stone tahona, and naturally fermented before double distillation in copper stills. The resulting mezcal is unaged ("Joven") and delivers a potent sensory experience. Expect bright aromas of wet earth, bell pepper, and distinctive herbaceous and floral notes, with a lingering minerality on the palate. Its high complexity and bold, savory flavor make it a fascinating sip for serious mezcal aficionados.
