Ocho Extra Añejo Tequila is a truly distinguished expression, renowned for its commitment to vintage designation and single-estate agave sourcing. This exquisite spirit is crafted from 100% blue agave, slowly cooked in traditional stone ovens and distilled at La Alteña distillery. To earn the Extra Añejo designation, it is aged for a minimum of three years, often in used American whiskey barrels.
This prolonged maturation imparts an extraordinary complexity and depth, resulting in a rich amber hue and a velvety texture. On the nose, expect layers of dark chocolate, toasted coconut, dried fruit, and baking spices. The palate delivers a sophisticated blend of sweet cooked agave, caramel, vanilla, and fine oak, culminating in a long, luxurious finish. It is best savored neat to appreciate its exceptional quality.
