Octomore Scottish Barley 15.1 is the debut expression in the 15th annual series from Bruichladdich, showcasing a balance of extreme peat and elegant distillation. This single malt is heavily peated to 108.2 PPM and distilled from 100% Scottish barley. It is aged in a combination of first-fill ex-American whiskey barrels and re-charred ex-bourbon casks, bottled at a robust 59.1% ABV.
This Octomore delivers an extraordinary strength of character with a sophisticated profile. The palate features a delicate balance of smooth vanilla custard and sweet charred oak, beautifully interwoven with the earthy, heady peat smoke for which the brand is famous.
