Palacios Remondo's La Montesa Rioja Crianza is a vibrant and modern expression of Spain's iconic region, crafted by the renowned Palacios family, who are credited with transforming winemaking in the area. This Crianza stands out because it is primarily made from Garnacha (Grenache), supplemented by Tempranillo and Graciano, and sourced from the high-altitude, limestone-rich vineyards of Alfaro in Rioja Oriental.
Aged for 12 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, La Montesa delivers a beautiful balance of ripe fruit and subtle oak spice. On the palate, expect rich notes of red berries, plum, and a hint of vanilla, underpinned by a smooth texture and soft tannins. This versatile wine pairs exceptionally well with grilled meats, hearty stews, and Spanish tapas.
