Paul John Peated Select Cask is a distinguished single malt whisky from India, crafted at the tropical distillery in Goa. This expression is celebrated for its assertive, yet beautifully balanced, smoky character, achieved by utilizing peated barley imported from Islay, Scotland. Matured in select American oak casks, the high ambient temperature and humidity in Goa accelerate the aging process, lending it a remarkable maturity in less time. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at cask strength to retain its full, intense flavor profile. Expect robust notes of sweet, medicinal peat smoke, dark fruit, and a lingering spice, beautifully softened by layers of oak-driven vanilla and honey. This whisky offers a complex and deeply rewarding experience for the discerning peat lover.
