Pierre Ferrand Pineau des Charentes is a complex and elegant fortified wine from the Cognac region of France. It is traditionally made by blending unfermented grape must with Cognac eau-de-vie and then aging the mixture in oak barrels. This expression presents a beautiful amber color with gold glints. The nose is invitingly complex, offering a mix of honey, tilleul (linden blossom), and *fleur de vigne* (grape flower), layered with fresh and preserved fruits such as peach, prune, fig, and almond paste, all culminating with a hint of vanilla. The palate is initially fresh, demonstrating a superb balance between the natural sweetness and acidity, with persistent, rich fruity notes.
