Rooster Rojo Joven Mezcal is a vibrant, unaged expression crafted from 100% Espadín agave in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, often called the "World Capital of Mezcal." The agave hearts, or piñas, are slow-roasted in underground conical ovens with wood and volcanic rock, imparting the signature smoky flavor. They are then crushed using a traditional tahona stone wheel before being naturally fermented and twice-distilled in copper pot stills.
This Joven mezcal delivers a clear, bright profile defined by its elegant balance. Expect bold notes of sweet, cooked agave and a refined minerality, seamlessly woven with a long, clean smoky finish. It is ideal for sipping neat to appreciate its traditional complexity or for crafting authentic, smoky cocktails.
