Teliani Valley Saperavi is a powerful, expressive dry red wine crafted from 100% Saperavi grapes, the signature red varietal of Georgia—the birthplace of wine. This expression showcases the varietal's distinctive depth and complexity, typically exhibiting a deep, inky color due to Saperavi being a teinturier grape (meaning it has red flesh as well as red skin).
A classic Saperavi offers a robust structure with high acidity and noticeable tannins, making it exceptionally age-worthy. On the palate, expect intense dark fruit flavors like blackberry, black cherry, and plum, complemented by savory notes of earth, smoke, and a subtle herbaceousness.
