The Antiquary 21 Years Port Cask Whisky is an exceptional blended Scotch, meticulously aged for over two decades. This release skillfully combines premium Highland and Speyside single malts with fine Lowland grain whiskies. The spirit benefits from a generous three-year marrying period in rich tawny Port casks, hand-sourced from the Symington family estates in Portugal.
This secondary maturation imparts a profound complexity. On the nose, expect layers of floral peat, vanilla, cocoa, and drying hay. The palate is enriched by the Port influence, revealing notes of dark poached plums and jammy wild berries, balanced by chocolate-dipped orange and smoky malt. The result is an oily, well-rounded, and exceptionally smooth whisky, culminating in a memorable finish.
