Tomatin 12 Years Bourbon & Sherry Cask Whisky is a beautifully balanced Highland single malt, celebrated for its smooth and approachable character. It undergoes a meticulous maturation process, initially spending time in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks before a final period in both Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry butts. This dual cask aging imparts a complexity and depth rarely found at this age statement.
The nose offers a welcoming bouquet of malt, citrus zest, and sweet apples, giving way to a palate rich with notes of sweet fudge, golden honey, and a delicate warming spice. The influence of the sherry casks brings a subtle, yet profound, dried fruit finish. Bottled at 43% ABV, this expression is an ideal daily sipper, highly regarded for its silky texture and consistent quality.
