Two Stacks The Blender's Cut Sauternes Cask Strength Whiskey is a superb modern Irish blend, bottled at its natural, robust cask strength (63.5% ABV). This limited release represents a lost tradition of masterful blending, combining 80% grain whiskey (matured in virgin oak and Bourbon casks), 10% double-distilled malt (matured in Bourbon casks), and 8% pot still whiskey (matured in Oloroso Sherry butts). The defining feature is its final maturation in French Oak casks that previously held Bordeaux Sauternes Wine. This finishing process imparts luxurious notes of honey, rich dark fruit, and candied citrus, beautifully integrating them with the inherent spice and vanilla of the high-proof Irish blend. Non-chill filtered, this expression delivers profound complexity and a long, warming finish for the connoisseur.
