Vecchia Romagna 18 Year Old Riserva is an exceptional Italian brandy, showcasing an intense and highly refined aromatic profile. This complexity is achieved through a meticulous aging process, involving time in French oak barriques and large Slavonian oak casks, followed by a unique refinement period in barrels previously used to age the prestigious Amarone della Valpolicella red wine. The result is a full-bodied and voluptuous brandy. The nose presents a harmonious blend of spicy notes and tobacco leaf, with ethereal hints of dried fruit, bold walnut, and fig. The palate is rich with flavors of cinnamon, pimento, clove spice, coffee, and candied fruit, balanced by dry toasty oak tannins. The long-lasting finish highlights the structure and roundness imparted by the Amarone cask influence.
