Westland Garryana 5th Edition Whiskey is a distinctive American Single Malt that continues the distillery’s exploration of native oak species, specifically *Quercus garryana*, which is found only in the Pacific Northwest. This edition stands out for incorporating a higher percentage of Garry Oak casks in the blend than any previous release, combining pale malt spirit with peated spirit for a deceptively simple yet profoundly complex profile.
The use of Garry oak imparts a strong, savory character to the whiskey, balancing the ex-bourbon aging. Expect robust tasting notes: the nose opens with raisin, brown sugar, and cocoa.
