Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Whiskey is a unique Kentucky Straight Bourbon that employs an innovative two-barrel maturation process to achieve its signature rich flavor. Following its initial aging in new, charred oak barrels, the whiskey is transferred to a second, deeply toasted, lightly charred new barrel. This secondary aging extracts soft, sweet oak character and intense flavor complexity. The result is a full-bodied bourbon with deep amber color and a remarkably rich profile. The nose offers dark fruit, caramel, marzipan, and sharp honey. The palate delivers layers of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, and baking spices. The finish is long and creamy, showcasing lingering hints of honeyed apple and a pleasing warmth. It is best enjoyed neat or as the base for a truly exceptional cocktail.
