This expression begins with the signature Writers’ Tears blend of pot still and single malt whiskeys, which is then aged in two types of wood: American oak Bourbon barrels and French oak Cognac casks. This "double oak" influence imparts a profound complexity, layering the bright, fruit-forward character of the malt with rich, spiced notes from the French oak. The resulting whiskey is smooth, elegant, and full-bodied, offering a palate rich in dark chocolate, vanilla, and toasted almond.
